 BLOOD DRIVE


BAKE SALE
Student council is holding a bake sale this week for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Michigan.

3 ON 3 BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT
The 3 on 3 basketball tournament is Saturday March 19, 2016.  Please register by March 18th via email to med.barr@mybedford.us.  Cost is $60 per team.  Pick up a flyer in the office.

MATH-A-THON
It is math-a-thon time.  Math-a-thon is a fun way to raise money for St.Jude Children's Research Hospital.  The money raised will help children who have cancer.  Students who turn in $100 or more will be invited to a totally fun lock-in to celebrate.  If you would like to participate in this year's Math-a-thon please see your math teacher, or Mrs. Brown in room 230.

BUS ROUTES THAT CAN NOT HAVE EXTRA RIDERS
At this time we are experiencing a number of overcrowded buses with 3 to a seat and we are unable to accommodate extra riders. The following bus routes are not excepting bus passes until further notice. We are taking student counts on all runs and will be adjusting routes over the next couple weeks.

*MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE BUS ROUTE # THAT YOU WILL BE RIDING ON YOUR NOTE BEFORE YOU BRING IT TO THE OFFICE.

* YOUR NOTE MUST BE STAMPED BEFORE THE 2:25 BELL

Please turn in box tops as we go so there are not so many to count and prepare for redemption.
Place box tops in collection box or deliver to Mr. Muck in room #201.
Please, Make sure 4th hour teacher's name is clearly marked on the bag with the number of box tops in each bag.

Keep clipping!! January and February will start a new contest.

PHONE USE DURING SCHOOL
Under no circumstances are you allowed to text your parents or anyone else during the school day. If you are feeling ill, come down to the health room. If you forgot something or need something, please ask your teacher for permission to call home. After this week, if a student is found to be texting for these reasons, you will receive the 2 penalty halls for cell phone violations.

WINTER IS HERE
Students please remember it is cold outside! You should be wearing long pants, not shorts.

Students please remember to limit what you take to each class. Chromebooks can not be stacked on several books. The bottom of the blue case has support to one book only. Carrying several books increases the chance for your chromebook to slip and break. Broken chromebooks will have to pay a $25 deductible to get it fixed.

Students should always carry chromebook cases by the handle.

If anyone is interested, BJHS Chess Club meets on Thursdays from 2:30-3:30 in room #131.  "It's your move!!!"

GIRLS BASKETBALL
Bedford 7th grade red defeated Monroe Red 20-13.  Molly Koviak led in scoring with 20 points.  

Bedford red 8th grade fell to Monroe Red 25-7.  

Bedford 7th grade white played their best game of the season beating Monroe White at home 45-6.  Savanna Killinen and Grace Hullibarger were the leading scorers.  The entire team played great!

Bedford white 8th grade took down the Trojans of Monroe White 34-8 with a great all around team effort.  Aubrie Zeunen and Chloe Hildebrand-Leng led in scoring.  Abby Anderson and Lexi Angus also played well.
