BASKETBALL
7TH GRADE WHITE
The boys 7th grade white team defeated Monroe last night 17 - 14 in closely contested battle all the way to the final buzzer.
Ethan Gruhler led the team in scoring with 6 points and a key rebound at the end of the game.
Daniel Stieber had 5 points and hit a clutch 3 pointer to bring the team back from 8 points down in the last period.
Brayden Powell and  Micah Scheffer each had 4 points
Sam Travis, Hayden Fekete, and Lawson Ewing all added 2 points to the total.

The White teams will next take on Saline at home, Thursday, with the 7th grade beginning at 4:15.

7TH GRADE RED
Bedford red 7th grade defeated Chelsea Blue 22-12 to improve to 5-1.  Preston Manard and Brendan Hammer hit two big 3's to start the second half.  Team defense was the catalyst to the victory.  

8TH GRADE WHITE
The 8th grade white basketball team got clutch free throw shooting from John Jensen, Marcus Coker and Brandon Nigh to help seal a 29-20 victory over Monroe.  Conner Lynch and Darren Cleavenger led a balanced scoring attack for the Broncos.

8TH GRADE RED
Bedford 8th grade red lost a hard fought battle to Chelsea Blue 13-11.  Ethan Gartee had the hot hand shooting leading the team in scoring.  

COMMUNITY ED

CREATIVE WRITING CLUB
The creative writing club will not meet this today.  We will meet Wednesday from 2:30-3:30 in Mr. Lorenz's room, room 38.  Any student is welcome.  All you need is your chromebook and your imagination.  Hope to see you there.

CANDY CANE GRAMS
Starting today, the 8th Grade is selling Candy Cane Grams to raise money for the Washington DC trip. The candy grams will be sold at all lunches. The cost is $1.00 to send a candy cane and note to a friend and $5.00 to send a bouquet of candy canes to a friend.

They are also have a PIZZA HUT Fundraiser (3366 Sterns Road Kroger Plaza 734-854-2128) December 13, 2016 all day with 20% of your purchase going to help reduce the trip expense. CHARITY CLUB DRIVE
From December 5th to December 20th Charity Club will be having our mitten,hat, glove and coloring book drive. Bring in mittens, hats and coloring books to lunch with you. We will have a tree to hang the mittens, hat, and gloves on and a bin to put the coloring books in. Thank you!

FOOD DRIVE
THIS IS THE LAST WEEK FOR THE BJHS FOOD DRIVE! If every students brings in 2 can each we will meet our goal.
First hour teachers will collect for 7th and 8th grade
6th grade teachers will collect during homeroom.

Again the class that collects the most will receive breakfast -made by Mr. Lopinski.  

In order for a classroom to win breakfast the class MUST have 100% participation from all students and then the most items will win breakfast.

Penny Hockey Sales Announcement:
Do you need to buy an inexpensive Christmas gift for someone?  Why not buy them a penny hockey board for only $2.00.  These sturdy games were made by our very own 8th grade technology education students.  They will be sold at the concession stand during all lunch hours starting Thursday, December 1st.  Buy one for a friend or for yourself!  Get them while they last.

NATIONAL JUNIOR HONOR SOCIETY
NJHS students should please check Edmodo for volunteer opportunities.  There are community events that need assistance.

IMMUNIZATION RECORDS
Immunization records for your student(s) need to be turned into the school nurse this week.

YEARBOOKS
Yearbooks are on sale for $40 until February 1 after that they will be $45.  You can purchase them on line at yearbookforever.com or by sending a cash, check or money order to Bedford Junior High School (memo Yearbook) to Mr. Masters room 130

BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION
Box Top collections !! This year we will be collecting box tops and having a friendly competition between home rooms. This is an easy way to fund raise for the extra things our classrooms my need throughout the year. Just ask your students and parents to clip and save. Deposit them in the collection boxes with your homeroom name on them (or place in Nimigean's mailbox in the high school or Muck's mailbox in the junior high).

We will collect for 3 months for each giveaway.
Winners will be awarded the first of December, March and June (top collector in each building). Make sure you get them turned in for a homeroom treat!

HANDBOOK REMINDER
Students who are leaving school early for an appointment should remember to come to the office first thing in the morning before school starts to receive an exit pass. They should not give their notes to their teachers. Do not wait until lunch to receive your exit pass.

DROP OFF ITEMS
Students, if your parents drop off items for you during the day, they will be held at the front door with our door monitor. Please listen to announcements during the class changes for your name..At that time, you may pick up your items from the door monitor.

SAFETY REMINDER
When getting off of the bus in the morning, be sure to stay on the sidewalk to get to the junior high. Do not walk on the cement island.

CHROMEBOOKS
Students please remember to limit what you take to each class. Chromebooks can not be stacked on several books. Carrying several books increases the chance for your chromebook to slip and break.

HEALTH ROOM VISITS
You must report to your next hour teacher before coming to the health room unless it is an emergency. That way your teacher knows where you are.
