8TH GRADE FIELD TRIP
Attention 8th graders.  Our field trip to the Toledo Walleye is coming up on 12/16.  We will be collecting the $10 dollars for the trip during lunch on 12/9, 12/10, and 12/11.  Please make check payable to Bedford Junior High.  If you are in need of financial assistance, see Mr. Hurley.

PHONE USE DURING SCHOOL
Under no circumstances are you allowed to text your parents or anyone else during the school day. If you are feeling ill, come down to the health room. If you forgot something or need something, you come to the main office and call home. After this week, if a student is found to be texting for these reasons, you will receive the 2 penalty halls for cell phone violations.

BUS ROUTES THAT CAN NOT HAVE EXTRA RIDERS
At this time we are experiencing a number of overcrowded buses with 3 to a seat and we are unable to accommodate extra riders.  The following bus routes are not excepting bus passes until further notice.  We are taking student counts on all runs and will be adjusting routes over the next couple weeks.


Rte 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18, 25, 27, 28.   

7TH GRADE BOYS BASKETBALL
The boys 7th grade white team defeated Monroe last night 24 - 14.  Brandon Nigh led all scorers with 15 points.
Darren Cleavenger scored all 6 of his points in the 5th period to extend the lead.
Brady Henderson had 5 points and Ethan Gartee added 4 points.
Joel Rand led the team in rebounds with 5 and played great defense.
The white teams will next face Saline tomorrow at home beginning at 4:15.

7TH GRADE BOYS BASKETBALL
Bedford Red 7th grade defeated Monroe White 23-14.  Markus Coker came off the bench and scored 5 unanswered points to break open a close game.  John Jenson and Connor Ullery had a strong game rebounding the ball.  

8TH GRADE BOYS BASKETBALL
The 8th grade white basketball team defeated Monroe yesterday 20-14.  The Broncos had a balanced attack on offense as the scoring was led by Bryce Miller, Ryan Sullivan, Sam Birmingham and Landon Links.  There was an outstanding team defensive effort and Josh Hollinger also rebounded well for the Broncos.

8TH GRADE BOYS BASKETBALL
Bedford Red 8th grade squeaked out a close win over Monroe White 26-24.  Matt Kohler made two clutch free throws to break the tie with only seconds remaining in the game.  Kohler along with Derek Price led in scoring.  Cole Mason and Darren Common also played well.  

PENNY HOCKEY
The 8th grade technology education classes have mass produced penny hockey boards.  These inexpensive games are being sold in the concession stand during all lunch hours.  They are only $2.00.  Do you need a small Christmas gift for a brother or sister?  You don't even have to go to the store.  They are loads of fun and don't require charging or batteries.  Get them while supplies last.

GRAPPLERETTES
Any girls interested in becoming a grapplerette for the wrestling team this season..... there will be a meeting Thursday December 3
  after school.  This will be an informational meeting to talk about what "being a grapplerette" is all about.  We will meet by the cafeteria around 3:35.  The meeting will last until 4:15.

WRESTLING
Any 7th or 8th grade boys interested in helping defend the SEC Championship for junior high wrestling should report to practice Monday, December 7 after school. December 7th is the official start of wrestling season! Practice will start at 2:45and last until 5:00. Please be dressed and ready for practice. 6th graders that are interested may practice with the team.

REFLECTIONS COMPETITION
The PTSA is again encouraging all students to celebrate the arts by submitting an original work for this year's Reflections competition.  The theme for this year is "LET YOUR IMAGINATION FLY!"  Entry forms are in the media center and all entries should be returned to the box there by December 4th at noon. Every student that enters will be put into a drawing for a $25 Amazon gift card.

BOOK FAIR
Book Fair begins Monday November 30th - Friday December 4th from 10:30-12:30.

WINTER IS HERE
Students please remember it is cold outside! You should be wearing long pants, not shorts.

FOOD DRIVE
Food drive started Tuesday November 24 and ends December 11. First hour teachers will collect for 7th and 8th grade, 6th grade teachers will collect during homeroom again the class that collects the most will get breakfast made by Mr. Lopinski.

BOOK CLUB
Mrs. Vogel's book club will meet December 1st-8th from 2:30-4:00. We will be reading The Hunger Games.

Keep checking your e-mail for an invitation to future Students Interact.  When you get an invitation, the permission slip should be turned into Mrs Connolly.  Also make sure you are checking with  your teachers about any assignments

Keep clipping the November/December prize is pizza and pop! Place in collection box or deliver to Mr. Muck with 4th hour teacher clearly marked on them!

CHROMEBOOK REMINDER
Attention 7th Grade Students:
Students please remember to limit what you take to each class. Chromebooks can not be stacked on several books. The bottom of the blue case has support to one book only. Carrying several books increases the chance for your chromebook to slip and break. Broken chromebooks will have to pay a $25 deductible to get it fixed.

6th and 8th Grade Students:
Students should always carry chromebook cases by the handle.

HEALTH ROOM PASS REMINDER
Students, please remember you need to report to your next class before coming to the Health Room. Do not stop in between classes unless it is an emergency.

DRESS CODE REMINDER
No leggings, yoga pants or joggers unless the top is fingertip length or longer. Also, shorts and skirts are to be fingertip length or longer.

BUS NOTE REMINDER
Bus notes MUST be stamped before the 2:25 pm bell.
