What a great month! In the month of February we collected just over $300 worth of Box Tops. We had 15 classes participate in the collection! Just think what we can do if all families in all classes start clipping! It was a really close race - honorable mention goes to Mr. Dukate and Mrs. Spurlin but Mrs. Kay's class was the winner with 394 box tops!! Congratulations to your class!!
Box Tops
The Box Top competition is off to a great start! We collected just over $300 worth of box tops in February. So keep saving those box tops! Remind your parents to save "Box Tops for Education". Bring in your box tops on the box top sheet from your 4th hour teacher, or bring them in a baggie. Just be sure your 4th hour teacher's name is written on the sheet or on the bag. The class with the most box tops will receive a different prize each month. Drop your box tops in one of the collection boxes located at the main entrance or on the 2nd floor.
In addition to "box tops" we are also collecting "labels for education"! These can be found on Campbell Soups, Pepperidge Farm, Danimals, etc.
Please remember that ALL student drop off and pick up is in the back the the Junior High School Building. Please follow the traffic flow pattern when dropping off or picking up students.
Bus Depot
Recently we are having two issues in the Bus Depot with our Junior High Students. Please remember to get on your buses as soon as possible. Buses need to be on time for their elementary routes. Too many students are "hanging out" in the center of the bus depot. Also Junior High Students need to refrain from demonstrating public displays of affection in the depot (kissing).
Chromebooks
6th and 7th grade students - We have received notice that Chromebooks have been seen unattended during after school sporting practices/events. Please remember that you can return to your locker after practice to retrieve your Chromebook. Chromebooks should never be left unattended, in the gymnasium, or under a tree. It is important to remember that each student with a Chromebook signed an agreement at the beginning of the school year that states...
I will be responsible for my Chromebook at all times.
My Chromebook will never be left unattended
I will store my Chromebook in my secured locker at BJHS while at sports practices or after school activities
Bus Notes
Reminder to all students - Bus notes to ride another bus home after school MUST be stamped in the office BEFORE the end of sixth hour.
