Girls Basketball
Bedford red 7th grade moves to 5-0 with a 23-5 victory over Ypsilanti. Aubrie Zeunen led the scoring with 22 points. Makenna Wilke led in rebounding with 5 boards. Jaide Fisher contributed with a solid floor game. Great team win girls!
Bedford red 8th grade defeated Ypsilanti 19-10. Taylor Weirich came back from an injury to pour in 12 points. Paige Balcerzak added a strong rebounding effort to go with 4 points.
Bedford white 7th grade defeated Monroe White 16-6. Emma Wagenhauser had a great floor game adding 7 rebounds. Jayda Copciac made 2 free throws late in the game to help pull ahead. Alyssa Vandecaveye also added some good minutes.
Bedford white 8th grade lost to Monroe White 16-11. Becca Crawford led the scoring. Emily Babb, Makayla Motylinski and Madeleine Matthews also played well.
Bedford Boys/Girls Lacrosse
Anyone interested in lacrosse should come out for the spaghetti dinner Friday, February 13, 2015 at 6 PM at the United Methodist Church (corner of Dean & Douglas). Cost is a donation and each player should bring a two liter of pop. Contact Carol Gibbs at cgibbs64@msn.com if you can volunteer at event or can donate an item for the dinner.
Box Tops
The Box Top competition begins!!! Remind your parents to save "Box Tops for Education". Bring in your box tops on the box top sheet from your 4th hour teacher, or bring them in a baggie. Just be sure your 4th hour teacher's name is written on the sheet or on the bag. The class with the most box tops will receive a "Rice Krispie Treat Party". Drop your box tops in one of the collection boxes located at the main entrance or on the 2nd floor. This will continue for the next couple months with new prizes for 4th hour to win.
Student Council
Starting today flowers go on sale, so buy your BFF and your favorite teacher a flower for only $1.
The Black & White Masquerade Party is this Friday, February 13, 2015 from 7-9 pm. This is a semi formal party. Buy your wrist band early to get a prize.
We encourage you to wear a masquerade mask to the party.
The Coldstone Sundae Bar will only cost $4.00 with a choice of 4 flavors of ice cream and seven different toppings.
A photo booth area with props will be available for not cost.
Music and dancing in the cafeteria and many games in the gym.
Yearbook
Last day to purchase a yearbook is February 13, 2015. They will be selling them in the cafeteria for $45.
Bus Depot
Recently we are having two issues in the Bus Depot with our Junior High Students. Please remember to get on your buses as soon as possible. Buses need to be on time for their elementary routes. Too many students are "hanging out" in the center of the bus depot. Also Junior High Students need to refrain from demonstrating public displays of affection in the depot (kissing).
Chromebooks
6th and 7th grade students - We have received notice that Chromebooks have been seen unattended during after school sporting practices/events. Please remember that you can return to your locker after practice to retrieve your Chromebook. Chromebooks should never be left unattended, in the gymnasium, or under a tree. It is important to remember that each student with a Chromebook signed an agreement at the beginning of the school year that states...
I will be responsible for my Chromebook at all times.
