AFTER SCHOOL CODING -- GRADES 6, 7, 8 - MEETS TUESDAY- JANUARY 28
Do you want to have some fun after school? On Tuesdays, attend the After School Coding Club in lab 34 with Mrs. Adkins from 2:30-3:30 p.m.. Build some awesome apps and games with friends. Be sure to have a ride home.

GIRLS BASKETBALL
The Bedford 7th grade white team defeated Monroe Red 15-8. Taylor Weirich led in scoring with 13 points. Becca Crawford led defensively.

The Bedford 8th grade white team opened the season with a great team effort win against Monroe Red 25-1. Caitlin Stieber and Lynsey Spotts led a balanced scoring attack. Caelan Warnecke led defensively and Olivia Cook and Claire Asmus played well.
Also, the 7th grade red team won the opener 11-6 against Ypsilanti. Lizzie Orwig, Mikayla Motylynski, and Caitlin Miller all played well for the Lady Broncos.
Both 7th grade teams are reminded that practice is after school until 12:30.

At home last night,the Bedford 8th grade girls red basketball team defeated Ypsilanti 27-9. Kate Chuhy and Koryn King led the scoring with 12 and 10 points respectively. Joella Griner and Courtney Jagielski led the rebounding with 10 each.
Also, the 7th grade red team won the opener 11-6 against Ypsilanti. Lizzie Orwig, Mikayla Motylynski, and Caitlin Miller all played well for the Lady Broncos.

SOIREE JUNIOR SINGERS
This is your chance to share the spotlight! Become a junior soiree member! The program will include training in voice projection, dance, poise, and what it takes to be a Soiree Singer! All students are invited, even if you never danced or performed in a choir. Registration forms and more information are available in the office.
ANNUAL DADDY/DAUGHTER VALENTINE DANCE
Girls; make a date with your dad to attend the daddy/daughter dance on Friday, February 8, 2014, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Informational flyers are available in the junior high office or at the Community Education Office. The cost is $12 per person.
SOFTBALL ANNOUNCEMENT
Attention 7th and 8th grade girls interested in playing softball this spring; come to open gym and get ready for tryouts and the season ahead. Open gym time will be held on Sundays from noon until 2:00 p.m. starting January 26, and running through March 9. This is a great opportunity to start throwing, hitting, and field before tryouts. YEARBOOKS ON SALE TODAY
Yearbooks are on sale now. The cost is $45. Yearbooks are sold during all lunch hours. Make checks payable to BJHS. Flyers were given to each student, and additional flyers are also available in the office.
EMERGENCY MEDICAL FORMS
If you did not turn in your Emergency Medical Form, please turn it in. (Forms are green, yellow, or salmon;.and they were mailed home in the summer mailing.) Remember to update all contact numbers and sign the back. To change a student's address, you must present a Michigan Driver's License with the current address, mortgage or lease paper, and a utility bill.
BE PROMPT! DON'T MISS YOUR BUS
After school, when going out to your bus, be prompt! The bus drivers will not allow students on the bus after 2:33 p.m.

When students walk to school, they should please use the sidewalk next to the high school by the grass and not the sidewalk island next to the bus depot. We want to make sure everyone is safe. With the dark mornings, it is unsafe to walk through the depot.
