PICTURE RETAKE DAY – FRIDAY, OCTOBER 25
Friday, October 25, 2013, is Picture Retake Day. If you were unhappy with your school pictures and need them to be retaken, please bring your entire packet to school on Friday, October 25. Picture packets must be turned in to the photographer when you get your new picture taken. The same packet will be given to you with your new picture. ALSO, if you were absent on picture day, be sure to have your picture taken so you can receive and ID card and have your picture in the BJHS Yearbook. OR, if you would like an additional picture package, you may pick up an order form in the office. Pictures must be paid for when you get your picture taken. Pictures will be taken during all lunch hours on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 25. Don’t forget!
HAUNTED HALLOWEEN PARTY!!!!
The haunted Halloween Party is this Friday Night! The party begins at 7:00 p.m. and ends at 9:00 p.m. The party will include games, a DJ, a haunted house, and lots of Halloween goodies! Wrist bands go on sale Tuesday, tomorrow, during all lunches and will be sold all week at lunch time for just $5. The first 50 students to buy wristbands will get TWO FREE BAKED GOODS at the party.

Yearbooks are on sale now; and it is the cheapest time to purchase one. Make sure you order your yearbook early; the price increases soon. The cost is only $43. Yearbooks are sold during all lunch hours. Make checks payable to BJHS. Flyers were given to each student, and additional flyers are also available in the office

Our first choral concert of the year is this week!!! Our 7th & 8th grade choir students have worked very hard and will be ready to present an awesome concert with the freshman choir, concert choir, soiree singers and varsity choir. The concert is THURSDAY, OCTOBER 24 beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the High School Auditorium. Our concert is entitled "SING!" which will feature a combined choirs song called "Sing!" written by Andrew Lloyd Webber featuring 130 of our vocal students accompanied by our best instrumentalists.

They will be recycled for cash to help the children in the hospital. The Ronald McDonald House is a Children's Hospital that helps children in need of medical care and allows the family to stay close to the hospital. If you did not turn in your Emergency Medical Form, please turn it in. (Forms are green, yellow, or salmon;.and they were mailed home in the summer mailing.) Remember to update all contact numbers and sign the back. To change a student's address, you must present a Michigan Driver's License with the current address, mortgage or lease paper, and a utility bill.
8TH HOUR
Eighth hour is open to all students at BJHS. Eighth hour is held every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 2:35-3:25 p.m. Mrs. Benisatto will meet students at the double doors in the front lobby. VOLLEYBALL
The 7th grade red football team finished up their season last night with a big final win against Monroe with scores of 25-17, 25-15, and 25-8. Kerrigan Gandee led the Broncos with her outstanding 9 aces! Evita Oraha did a great job on defense, and Abby Armstrong did an excellent job on setting. The girls worked very hard, improved their skills, and had a great season with a record of 14-2-1. Selena Sandoval, Levi Lennard, Karsyn Wolf, and Abby Armstrong did an outstanding job setting this entire season. Bree Long Kaitlin Hennessey Kerrigan Gandee, and Becca Crawford did an excellent job serving aces and racking up our points. Hannah Boxers, Jocelyn Potter, Evita Oraha, and Lizzie Orwig did a great job on their defense and hitting this season. Thank\you to Jessi Steinman and Jada Cowpoke for being such great managers to our team! A special thank you to all who followed us this season and showed their support! Thanks again, -- Coach Moran
The 8th grade red volleyball team capped off a good season defeating Monroe 25-22, 25-24, and 17-25. I can't say enough about how much the girls improved this season. Remember the individual talks we had on Friday and continue to enjoy the game. Thanks to the players: Megan Tillman, Belle Winters, Mackenzie Fuleky, Haily Walling, Angel Simon, Courtney Jagielski, Abby Monroe, Morgan Gladieux, Koryn King, Hailey Sieg, Kaitlyn Scurlock, and Joella Griner. The 7th grade white volleyball team ended their season yesterday with a win over Adrian. The entire team consisting of Maddie Andra, Taylor Hawkins, Kylie Schroeder, Megan Chmiel, Sarah Koviak, Taylor Weirich, Lily Varney, Paige Anstine, Emily Babb, Cierra Hammond, Jenny Phillips and Makayla Motylinski had an awesome game! All of the help from the managers Jordyn Rietz, Carley Emerson and Elizabeth Price was greatly appreciated throughout the season! Great season girls!

Good luck to the white football teams at their last home game of the season. They will host Saline Gold today beginning at 4:15 p.m.
Good luck to the red football teams. They will travel to play Lincoln. There is an early 2:00 p.m./ release to allow for travel time.

CROSS COUNTRY
Congratulations to the girls cross country team for a great season finish at the Michigan State Mega Jamboree on Saturday. The LadyBbroncos Varsity team finished in 9th place out of 20 teams in the state. The top 8 Bedford runners for the Varsity team were Autumn Oxer, Olivia Cook, Kaitlin Kochendoerfer, Moriah Torongeau, Alli Smith, Caitlin Stieber, Jillian Sutter, and Sadey Turner. The top 7 runners for the reserve team were Maureen Lingle, Baylee Canning, Mackenzie Kruska, Laurel Gotha, Cayla Champion, and Breanna Everden. The reserve team took 8th place.
Congratulations on a wonderful season. You should all be proud of the personal achievements you reached this season. Please remember to drop off your uniforms to Mrs. Jakubowski's room or bring them with you to the banquet next week on Tuesday.

LACROSSE DAY
Attention boys and girls in grades K-8; here is a great chance to go to a college sponsored local lacrosse event. Please go out and have a blast. Bring the neighbor kids and have a blast. There is a free, open clinic, drills and demos, scrimmage, and BBQ lunch. Flyers are available in the office. Parents, please bring a lawn chair.The event takes place on Saturday, October 26, 2013, 9:00 a.m to 12:30 p.m.
