PICTURE RETAKE DAY – TODAY, OCTOBER 25
Today is Picture Retake Day. If you were unhappy with your school pictures and need them to be retaken, today is the day! Please bring your entire packet to the lunch room. Picture packets must be turned in to the photographer when you get your new picture taken. The same packet will be given to you with your new picture. ALSO, if you were absent on picture day, be sure to have your picture taken so you can receive and ID card and have your picture in the BJHS Yearbook. OR, if you would like an additional picture package, you may pick up an order form in the office. Pictures must be paid for when you get your picture taken. Pictures will be taken during all lunch hours today. Don’t forget!
HAUNTED HALLOWEEN PARTY!!!! TONIGHT
The haunted Halloween Party is this evening! The party begins at 7:00 p.m. and ends at 9:00 p.m. The party will include games, a DJ, a haunted house, and lots of Halloween goodies! Wrist bands are on sale during all lunches and will be sold at the door for just $5.
RED RIBBON WEEK
Red Ribbon Week was celebrated all week long. Red Ribbon Week is a time to take a stand against drugs. All students were invited to join together to stand against drugs by following the themes for each day.
Today's theme is Hat Day
FALL CHOIR CONCERT
The first choral concert of the year is Wednesday, October 30, 7:00 p.m. SH/S Auditorium Our 7th & 8th grade choir students have worked very hard and will be ready to present an awesome concert with the freshman choir, concert choir, soiree singers and varsity choir. Our concert is entitled "SING!" which will feature a combined choirs song called "Sing!" written by Andrew Lloyd Webber featuring 130 of our vocal students accompanied by our best instrumentalists.
PUMPKIN DECORATING CONTEST
It is that time of year again! It is the Second Annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest. It will be on October 29th, 30th, and 31st. Teachers will bring their decorated pumpkins to the cafeteria on Tuesday before lunches. Students and staff will be voting for their favorite jack-o-lantern using cash during all lunches. The pumpkins with the most donations will be the Grand Champion. All money donated will benefit Monroe Humane Society and the World Wildlife Federation.
AFTER SCHOOL CODING-BUILD SOME AWESOME GAMES AND APPS GRADES 6, 7, 8
Do you want to have some fun after school? On Tuesdays, attend the After School Coding Club in lab 34 with Mrs. Adkins from 2:30-3:30 p.m.. Build some awesome apps and games with friends.

Yearbooks are on sale now; and it is the cheapest time to purchase one. Make sure you order your yearbook early; the price increases soon. The cost is only $43. EMERGENCY MEDICAL FORMS
If you did not turn in your Emergency Medical Form, please turn it in. (Forms are green, yellow, or salmon;.and they were mailed home in the summer mailing.) Remember to update all contact numbers and sign the back. To change a student's address, you must present a Michigan Driver's License with the current address, mortgage or lease paper, and a utility bill.
8TH HOUR
Eighth hour is open to all students at BJHS. Eighth hour is held every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 2:35-3:25 p.m. Mrs. Benisatto will meet students at the double doors in the front lobby. LACROSSE DAY
Attention boys and girls in grades K-8; here is a great chance to go to a college sponsored local lacrosse event. Please go out and have a blast. Bring the neighbor kids and have a blast. There is a free, open clinic, drills and demos, scrimmage, and BBQ lunch. Flyers are available in the office. Parents, please bring a lawn chair.The event takes place on Saturday, October 26, 2013, 9:00 a.m to 12:30 p.m.
