MEAP TESTING CONTINUES
Today, only 7th grade students continue testing from 8:00 to 10:30 a.m. Juice boxes were given to students in their first hour before MEAP Testing began. It is important that our whole school tries to do their very best and make BJHS proud!

BRONCO CHARITY CLUB
The Bronco Charity Club will have its first meeting of the year next Tuesday, October 15, from 2:30-3:30 p.m. The club is open to any BJHS student interested in doing good deeds and charity work. Last year the club did fundraisers for Monroe County Humane Society, adopted a family at Christmas, made gifts for the local Sr. Citizens home, and many other fun activities. Please see Mrs.Currie in room # 203 for more information.
BE CAREFUL WHERE YOU WALK!!!!
When students walk to school, they should please use the sidewalk next to the high school by the grass and not the sidewalk island next to the bus depot. We want to make sure everyone is safe. With the dark mornings now, it is unsafe to walk on the through the depot.EMERGENCY MEDICAL FORMS
If you did not turn in your Emergency Medical Form, please turn it in. (Forms are green, yellow, or salmon;.and they were mailed home in the summer mailing.) Remember to update all contact numbers and sign the back. To change a student's address, you must present a Michigan Driver's License with the current address, mortgage or lease paper, and a utility bill.
8TH HOUR
Eighth hour is open to all students at BJHS. Eighth hour is held every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 2:35-3:25 p.m. Mrs. Benisatto will meet students at the double doors in the front lobby. The 8th grade red volleyball team played one of their best matches of the year defeating Tecumseh 25-16, 25-11,, 25-17. Abby Monroe had an amazing serve and Haily Sieg played a great all around game. Morgan Gladieux had many good kills, while Koryn King kept everyone involved. Their record s now 9-2.
The 8th grade white volleyball team defeated Saline 25-17, 25-20, 25-18. Leaders for the night were: Olivia Scally and Heidi Fausze in serving; Emily Waite in assist; Shaina Shah, Stephanie Cook, and Heidi Fausze in,hitting; and Ally Rimmer in digs.
The 7th grade white volleyball team lost a close game last evening to Saline with the scores of 25-20, 25-16 and 25-22. Taylor Weirich led the team in both passing and hitting and Lily Varney did an outstanding job on defense.
CROSS COUNTRY
The
boys cross country team took third in the final SEC league meet on
Wednesday. They were led by undefeated, league champion, Michael Greeley.
Great races were run by most of the team as well. Career best times
were run by Jacob Reaume, Alex Zittleman, Cody Clark, Colin Bell, Justin
Bennett, Tyler German, Ian Kolar, and Anthony Tomlewski. The guys have
two races left. Saturday, they're running at the county championship
meet in Monroe; and next week, they are finishing the season at the state
championship meet.
Congratulations to
the girls' cross country team for an outstanding race
at their league meet in Adrian last night. The Lady Broncos earned
2nd place out of 8 teams! Several runners ran their personal best
running times including Autumn Oxer, Kaitlin Kochendoerfer, Alli Smith, Caitlin
Stieber, Olivia Cook, Sadey Turner, Maureen Lingle, and Mackenzie Kruska. Great
job ladies!

Hurry! Watch the clock to see if you can make it to safety before your time runs out on Saturday, October 19, at Indian Creek Park. Registration begins at 4:00 p.m. and the race starts at 5 p.m.
Top prizes will be awarded to the top 3 men and women and best Zombie costume. You must be registered to win. The entry fee is $20
If you register by Friday, October 11, you will receive a Zombie Run t-shirt.
