FOCUS ON THE CURRICULUM
Attention current 8th graders and soon to be freshman!
Make plans to attend the rescheduled Focus on the Curriculum on February 19th starting at 7pm in the high school media center. After general introductions and information from the counseling department, students and parents will have the opportunity to speak with dept. chairs at their table groups.
Honors/AP Parent Meeting is also on February 19th, but will start one hour earlier at 6pm.
The Honors/AP Parent meeting is for any parent that has a student interested in Honors/AP classes in the 2019-2020 school year.
VALENTINES'S DAY SEMI-FORMAL DANCE
February 15th from 6-8pm. Tickets are $5. There will be a DJ, photo booth, and Chick Fil A sandwiches, pizza, and pop for sale.
DRESS CODE
Just a reminder to parents and students about the school dress code. Jeans with rips or holes in them is not allowed. Also, hoods of any kind are not to be worn inside the building.
STUDENT OF THE WEEK
Student of the Week for the week of 2/11 is Alexia S. She was nominated by Mrs. Scheffer and here's what she had to say....
Alexia is a very happy, helpful young lady. She is always thinking of others and is just a very positive person. Her smile is contagious and her love for people and family members is obvious. She always stays a few extra minutes at the end of the school day to help me get the classroom back in order. I appreciate her!
MATH LEAGUE
Attention serious math students. This year's competitive Math League Test is coming up soon. The Math League Test is a timed test, in which students scores are compared against their peers in our school, as well as those in surrounding counties. If you are interested in taking the test, please let your math teacher know. If you have any questions you may talk with your math teacher, or Mrs. Brown in room 23.
