SWIM CLUB
Congratulations to the First Ever BJHS Swim Team! Over the weekend, the team Ruled the Pool at the Adrian Invitational. The Team won every event except two, and we finished 2nd in those events.
Top finishers for the boys were:
Ty Smith and Thomas Zoldowski went 1-2 and Qualified for the State meet in the 100 IM and 100 Free
Micah Scheffer Qualified for the State meet and won the 50 Free and 50 Fly
Ian Metter finished 2nd in the 50 Breaststroke and
Josh Sell finished second in the 50 Backstroke.
The Boys Medley relay and 200 Free Relays of Ty Smith, Ethan Tennant, Micah Scheffer and Thomas Zoldowski Qualified for the Middle School State Meet.
Top finishes for the Girls were:
Lindy Schultz in the 50 Free and 50 Free.
Payten Schlachter in the 50 Backstroke
Jenna Almomar in the 100 Free
Jennifer Dobson in the 50 Breaststroke

Register Now! ComEd 2K17 Boys Basketball Registration Deadline is December 9.

CREATIVE WRITING CLUB
The creative writing club will not meet this Tuesday. We will meet Wednesday from 2:30-3:30 in Mr. Lorenz's room, room 38. Any student is welcome. All you need is your chromebook and your imagination. Hope to see you there.
CANDY CANE GRAMS
Starting today, the 8th Grade is selling Candy Cane Grams to raise money for the Washington DC trip. The candy grams will be sold at all lunches. The cost is $1.00 to send a candy cane and note to a friend and $5.00 to send a bouquet of candy canes to a friend.
CHARITY CLUB DRIVE
From December 5th to December 20th Charity Club will be having our mitten,hat, glove and coloring book drive. Bring in mittens, hats and coloring books to lunch with you. We will have a tree to hang the mittens, hat, and gloves on and a bin to put the coloring books in. Thank you!
FOOD DRIVE
THIS IS THE LAST WEEK FOR THE BJHS FOOD DRIVE! If every students brings in 2 can each we will meet our goal.
First hour teachers will collect for 7th and 8th grade

In order for a classroom to win breakfast the class MUST have 100% participation from all students and then the most items will win breakfast.
Penny Hockey Sales Announcement:
Do you need to buy an inexpensive Christmas gift for someone? Why not buy them a penny hockey board for only $2.00. These sturdy games were made by our very ownh8th grade technology education students. They will be sold at the concession stand during all lunch hours starting Thursday, December 1st. Buy one for a friend or for yourself! Get them while they last.
NJHS students should please check Edmodo for volunteer opportunities. There are community events that need assistance.
INDOOR LACROSSE
There will be an informational meeting about indoor lacrosse for any 7th or 8th grader tonight the 5th of December at 7 p.m. in the Jr. High cafeteria.
QUIZ BOWL
Quiz Bowl will only be held today due to our 6th, 7th and 8th grade teams competing at the County Quiz Bowl. Good luck to all our teams! Also we only have a half day on Friday.

BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION
Box Top collections !! This year we will be collecting box tops and having a friendly competition between home rooms. This is an easy way to fund raise for the extra things our classrooms my need throughout the year. Just ask your students and parents to clip and save. Deposit them in the collection boxes with your homeroom name on them (or place in Nimigean's mailbox in the high school or Muck's mailbox in the junior high).

HANDBOOK REMINDER
Students who are leaving school early for an appointment should remember to come to the office first thing in the morning before school starts to receive an exit pass. They should not give their notes to their teachers. Do not wait until lunch to receive your exit pass.
DROP OFF ITEMS
Students, if your parents drop off items for you during the day, they will be held at the front door with our door monitor. Please listen to announcements during the class changes for your name..At that time, you may pick up your items from the door monitor.
SAFETY REMINDER
When getting off of the bus in the morning, be sure to stay on the sidewalk to get to the junior high. Do not walk on the cement island.
CHROMEBOOKS
Students please remember to limit what you take to each class. Chromebooks can not be stacked on several books. Carrying several books increases the chance for your chromebook to slip and break.
HEALTH ROOM VISITS
You must report to your next hour teacher before coming to the health room unless it is an emergency. That way your teacher knows where you are.
