The 7th grade softball team played their first game last night. The team lost game number one after a slow start. Bedford started strong in game two and had two base runners in scoring position when rain ended the game during the first inning. Madison Zabawa and Courtney Jagielski both had nice hits late in game 1. Jordan Costlow and Claire Asmus did some amazing pitching.
8TH GRADE SOFTBALL
Monroe beat Bedford in a double header, 5-0 and 6-5. Monroe's pitcher threw a dominating no-hitter in the first game. Kristen Hill did not allow a run after the first inning. We had to overcome a few errors in the first inning and let in their 5 runs. Taylor Haberland played some stellar defense at shortstop in the game. In the second game we came back from a 6-0 deficit but still fell a run short. Brynn Duvall led the way with a 2-run double. Kristen Hill had 2 hits in the game.
