It's that time of year! It is time to order your yearbook! The cost is $40. Place your yearbook order early; the price will be going up in December. Yearbooks may be purchased during lunch or in Dr. Robinson's room # 130.
FLOWER SALE - BJHS SWEETEST DAY - TODAY AND TOMORROW
Today and tomorrow our 6th grade students will be having a carnation sale during all lunch times. Carnations will be on sale for $1 each. A variety of colors are available. Please support the sale which will benefit the World Wildlife Fund.
LIFETOUCH PICTURE RETAKE DAY - FRIDAY, OCTOBER 26, 2012
If you missed having your picture taken on September 12, be sure to have it taken on Friday, October 26, 2012, during your lunch. You MUST have your picture taken to receive a BJHS ID Card and so your picture will be included in the yearbook.
If you had your picture taken on September 12, and were unhappy with them, return your original picture packet to the photographer, have your picture retaken, and a new picture packet will be issued. Also, if you would like to order additional pictures, feel free to have your picture taken again. Picture order forms are available in the BJHS office.--SMILE!!
VOLLEYBALL
In their final home game of the season, the Bedford 8th grade white volleyball team didn't disappoint their fans defeating Chelsea 25-10, 25-8, and 25-13. Kassidy Schroeder was strong from the service line, serving 14 service points. Diana Pudlicki and Erika Wilt had nice all around games. Gracie Smith, Brynn Duvall, and Macy Maraugha were all big at the net. The ladies play their final match of the season at Adrian on Monday, where they will try to avenge a loss earlier in the season.
Last night the 8th grade red volleyball team defeated Dexter 25-6, 25-14, and 25-13. Offensively, Jaycie Harris led the team with 5 kills, and Abby Pauch had 3 kills. Defensively, Kristen Sharp had 11 digs, Kalle Bauman 10 digs, and Tara Lijewski and Brooke Crawford each had 9 digs. Kristin Sharp served strong with 10 points and Kristen Hill, Brooke Crawford and Laiya Scheffer each had 8 points for the night. the last game of the season is home next Monday against Monroe. Please come out and support your Broncos!
The 7th grade red team defeated Dexter last night 25-19, 25-18, and 25-10. Olivia Scally led the team with 9 points of which 8 were aces! Emily Waite and Megan Tillman both did a great job on defense! Koryn King and Nicole Lezon both did a great job hitting! The girls are now 15-0-1. They will wrap up their season on Monday here at Bedford! Come on out and support them!
FOOTBALL
Red Teams: @. Tecumseh
7th Grade: Lost by a score of 20-8. The 7th grade red team fought hard, but came up short due to 5 turnovers last evening. Spectacular effort was given by the defense in the second half of the game. Big play up front by the offensive line allowed Bryce Mugler to score the lone Bedford TD and a two-point conversion.
8th Grade: Lost by a score of 22-14. The 8th grade Red team played with passion and enthusiasm for all thirty two minutes of a sloberknocker of a game. The Red team defense ground the Indians offense into cornmeal. The 8th grade red came up 2 yards short of a tie game last night. Gritty performances were given by Alex Pisanti, Brady Nowak, David Jeffers, Chris Augustyniak, Levi Elarton, Joey Shepherd, Carson Barr, Ben German, Matt Siesel,and a slew of other Broncos.
The Red Teams will have their last game of the year @ home next Tuesday vs Ypsi. Lincoln.
White Teams: @ Home vs Adrian Maples
Both White teams lost close games last night when pinball matches broke out on the football gridiron.
7th Grade White : Lost - 46-32
8th Grade White : Lost – 42-38
The White Teams will finish their season next Tuesday on the road @ Saline Gold.
GIRLS' BASKETBALL - CONDITIONING
All 7 and 8th grade girls interested in playing basketball this year are welcome to attend the HIGH SCHOOL conditioning the next two weeks. This is not mandatory. The conditioning starts this Monday, October 22, and goes until November 1st at the high school from 3-4:30 p.m. each day. Workouts will be Monday through Thursday with Fridays off. Athletes should be prepared to workout inside or out. If you have any questions about the conditioning, you can stop by Coach Burgermeister's room # 27.

COMMUNITY ED - OHIO SKATE NIGHT - TONIGHT
Plan to join your friends for an evening of fun at Ohio Skate tonight, October 18, 2012, from 6:00 -
8:30 p.m. The admission is $3.50 at the door. Skate rental is $1 if needed. This is a Community Ed sponsored event.
LEOS - YMCA
Would you like something fun and meaningful to do? If so, you are invited to join the YMCA Leos Club. The Leos Club is a fun and energetic group that spends its time volunteering and learning leadership skills. They help out with YMCA sports and events, do community service, and go on trips and service weekends. They meet every Tuesday at 6:30 at the YMCA." The group is a big part of many Jr. High and High School lives. There are dues for Leos but they are really flexible on when they are to be paid. As of right now, they are due around the same time Christmas break is; and they are $25. There is no date of which students have to be registered by. Each month we run Teen Night on the third Saturday. Teens are invited to come and participate in activities that include swimming, dodge-ball, basketball, Xbox, etc. Entrance is $5 at the door.
