Say Something Week 2020
During the week of March 2 - 6 thousands of schools and youth organizations from across the United States will participate in Say Something Week. Say Something Week raises awareness and educates students and the community on ways to take action to prevent violence. Say Something Week reinforces the power young people have to prevent tragedies and save lives when they Say Something to a trusted adult. Please join us next week as we work to help ALL students at BJHS feel empowered to say something to a trusted adult or use the Ok2Say program to report tips on criminal activities or potential harm directed at students, school employees, or schools. Each day of the week starting on Monday will be a theme for students to show their support of Say Something Week.
Monday “Team Up” against violence by wearing your favorite sports team shirt or jersey.
Tuesday “Empowerment Day” wear your workout gear to school and show your strength
Wednesday “Nerd Day - You’re Smart If You Say Something” - wear your favorite college shirt or dress like a nerd
Thursday - “United In Action Day” Wear your Hixon strong shirt or a Bedford shirt to show that we are all united in the fight to prevent violence.

IF YOUR CLASS IS GOING TO THE PUBLIC LIBRARY . . .
If your class is going to the public library, next door, you must walk, not run. Be sure to look for cars. We are getting reports that students are running out in front of cars because they are not paying attention.
NOTICE
Students, at the end of the day, there is a lot of chaotic behavior that needs to be stopped. When you are heading to your locker, leaving for the bus or parent pickup, it is expected that you walk, are patient & polite to those around you. It is important that we leave school in an orderly fashion in order to prevent student injury, damage to student property or simply hurt feelings.
ELA LAB
Need help with ELA homework? Need help with reading or writing for another class? Need to study for an ELA Test or Quiz? Ask your ELA or homeroom teacher for a pass and come visit Mrs. Knapp in room # 49 during your homeroom 4A or 4B OR Miss Mason in room # 25 during homeroom 5A or 5B for English Lab. Both teachers will be there to help you!
