BEDFORD SIDELINE CHEER TRYOUTS

Junior High tryouts: May 20-22 from 3-5 pm, high school new gym

High School tryouts: May 28-30 from 5-7 pm, high school new gym

Parent meeting: Tuesday, April 23rd at 6:30 pm for high school/7:30 for junior high in the high school cafeteria

For tryouts athletes must wear Bedford colors, cheer or tennis shoes, and no jewelry throughout all of tryouts! All participants must have a current physical on file. NO EXCEPTIONS. Go to the office for more details and paperwork.

STUDENT DROP OFF

Parents, there is ABSOLUTELY no student drop off in the front of the building. Please drop off your student in the back of the building.

AUTISM AWARENESS

April is Autism Awareness month! Please wear your Autism Awareness shirt every Friday during the month of April.

Anyone interested in an Autism Awareness shirt that did that already get one, please sign up in the media center room #56. There is a sign up sheet posted on the door.

CHROMEBOOKS

Parents and students, the Junior high has gone through all of it's loaners and it's supplemental 40 chromebooks in the last month or so, with mstep testing coming up, we can't keep up with the break rates. Please remind students to be careful with their chromebooks, and keep a watchful eye out for kids abusing them.

SPORTS

Last night in the freezing wind, some of our top boy track athletes competed at the Panther Relays at Whitmer! Competition was very tough. The meet was not scored individually, but we did have some individuals perform very well . 

Mason S was the overall best Shot put thrower of the evening, throwing over 37 feet 5.5 inches. 

Jack N was the 2nd best long jumper coming in at 15 feet 8 1/2 inches. 

Nathan D set a personal PR in Pole Vault of 8 ft. and Hunter P. had a PR of 6 1/2 feet

Braden V and Joey P both high jumped well with 4 ft. 2 inch personal bests. 

Caleb K and Josh G both had very good individual races in the distance races. 

STUDENT OF THE WEEK

REMINDER 

Just a reminder to students - cell phones are not to be used during the day to text or call their parent to come pick them up when they are not feeling well.  (Please do not email either). Students are to come to the health room.  You can use the student phone located in the office.  Too many parents are showing up for their sick student and the health room/office is not aware.  Please see your Student Handbook regarding use of Cell Phones.

DRESS CODE 

Just a reminder to parents and students about the school dress code. Jeans with rips or holes in them is not allowed. Also, hoods of any kind are not to be worn inside the building.
