Richie walks into my class each morning with a greeting and a smile on his face. He is hard working, helpful to others and always participates in class. He has a positive attitude and works hard at his studies. Congrats, Richie!
SPORT LOCKER CLEANUP
All sports lockers and competitive lockers must be cleared out by tomorrow, Friday, June 8.
If your locker is not cleaned out by Friday after school, your lock will be cut off, and all items will be donated to the Lions Den.
8th GRADE RECOGNITION
Eighth Grade Recognition will be held tomorrow morning at 8:00 a.m. in our gym. Congratulations 8th graders, and good luck next year at the high school!
8TH GRADE CEDAR POINT TRIP
After recognition, 8th graders who are going to Cedar Point should report to the gym. All students who are staying at school should report to the media center. ATTENDANCE WILL BE TAKEN.
If you are going to Cedar Point, be sure to bring money for food and drinks.
The bus will return to the junior high at 10:30 p.m.
PRIDE CLUB
The BJHS Pride Club will be having its last meeting on Tuesday, June 12th after school in Mr. Zill's room from 2:30 to 3:30. We'll be having our end of the year party, so join us for food, fun, and friendship! Please let Mr. Zill know if you will be joining us. We hope to see you there!

BOYS TENNIS
Any 8th grade boys interested in playing tennis in the fall should attend meeting today , June 7, after school at the tennis courts. Be prepared to play today. We will end at 4:00.
CROSS COUNTRY
The cross country season will start in August. Cross country is a distance running sport that offers lots of ways to get in shape, have fun, and meet new people.
All 5th, 6th, and 7th graders are invited to join. If your son or daughter is interested, please fill out the form below. You will be contacted in July with more information.

All girls planning to try out for the freshman, junior varsity and/or varsity girls basketball team next year should plan to participate in summer basketball opportunities. See Coach Burgermeister, room # 33, or Coach Green, room # 201 for the schedule.
The practice schedule began on Monday, and will be after school today, June 7, from 3 to 5:15. Please let Coach Burgomaster or Coach Green know if you are interested in participating this summer but are unable to attend today's practice.
BEDFORD BOYS BASKETBALL CAMP
JUNE 27-29, 2018
The camp is open to boys grades 4th - 12th grades.
Cost is $60
MORNING SESSION
9-12th grade boys 8:30-11:30
AFTERNOON SESSION
4th-8th grade boys noon-3:00
Camp will be held at Bedford High School. Please wear athletic clothing. Also bring a labeled water bottle.

DRESS CODE REMINDER
Students are expected to dress and groom themselves apprpriately for school. The following are NOT appropriate:
1. Clothing/grooming that illustrates or promotes alcohol, tobacco or other drugs or any illegal substance or activity.
2. Clothing/grooming that emulates gang/street activity.
3. Clothing/grooming that promotes violence.
4. Clothing/grooming that is vulgar, provocative, or otherwise suggestive.
a) Undergarments should not be visible at any time.
b) Skirts or shorts must be mid-thigh, approximately lower than the palm of the hand.
c) Low-cut, revealing, or bare-midriff tank tops, sundresses, or shirts are not permitted.
d) Sleeveless tops are not permitted if they violate a or c. Tops such as halter tops (bare shoulder or
back, ties at the back of the neck or waist), spaghetti-strapped tops, bare shouldered tops, belly tops
(midriff may not be revealed) and tube tops. Tank tops having shoulder straps 2 or more inches wide
are permitted.
e) Sheer see-through clothing is not permitted if they violate a or c.
f) Ripped jeans are not permitted.
5. Clothing/grooming that is deemed unsafe for the classroom or school environment, including but not limited
to hats/coats/outerwear. Hooded sweatshirts are permitted as long as the HOOD IS NOT WORN.
6. Clothing/grooming that is disruptive to the educational process.
7. Clothing/grooming that does not reflect good personal hygiene.
8. Distracting body piercing.
9. Tops and bottoms that do not OVERLAP while standing or seated.
HEALTH ROOM RULES
Unless it is an emergency, students who need to go to the health room must get a pass from the teacher they are coming from. If you are coming between class, you should get the pass from your next hour teacher to let them know where you are.
RECYCLING AT BJHS
Stop.... don't throw away your old , dried up markers!
We are excited to participate in collecting and converting our markers into clean energy.
Teachers, this also includes dry erase markers. There is a container behind the door monitor, please put all old markers in this container!
Together, we are helping our planet one handful of markers at a time!
ALL MULES MATTER
All mules matter meets every Monday during homeroom time in the media center with Mrs. Mihalec.
CHARITY CLUB
Charity club will not be meeting until further notice.
BUS NOTES
Bus notes need to be brought to the office in the morning to be stamped before school starts. Absolutely no notes will be stamped after the afternoon announcements. If the note is not stamped you will have to ride your normal bus home.
EXIT PASSES
Exit passes can be given if a written note from home is turned into the office. All notes are to be brought to the office before school starts so your exit pass can be written. Then you are to report to the door monitor at the time indicated on your pass. Once your ride arrives you can exit the build to go to your appointment. You CAN NOT exit the building without a pass. Make sure to turn your note into the main office before the morning bell so they can issue you a exit pass.
BACKPACKS
Just another reminder. . . Don't carry your backpacks to class. You must keep your backpacks in your locker.
EARLY DROP OFFS
If you are dropped off at school before 7 a.m, you need to stay in the cafeteria with Mrs. Gibson. She will release you to your lockers at 7.
8th HOUR
8th Hour is held in the media center. It runs from 2:35 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Meet in the front lobby by the door monitor and you will be walked to the media center Forms can be picked up in the office.
NO CELL PHONES DURING SCHOOL HOURS
Students: Cell phones are not allowed during school hours. Your phone must be in your locker and turned off at 7:25 a.m. They cannot be used until 2:30 p.m. Cell phones are NOT permitted during lunches.
