STUDENT OF THE WEEK
Mr. Masters chose Brandon H. as our student of the
week
Brandon is a stellar student who has an inquisitive mind
and is extremely perceptive with the nuances in literature. He gives his
opinions and ideas to add to the classroom dynamic. Brandon is an outstanding
classmate who is friendly to anyone he comes into contact with and always has a
smile.
ALL MULES MATTER
All mules matter meets every Monday during your homeroom time in the media center with Mrs. Mihalec.
ROBOTICS
Congratulations to all 5 BJHS FIRST Robotics teams on their performance at the Bedford FTC Qualifying tournament held at Bedford High School this weekend.
Congratulations to team 6079, the Bionic Broncos for being a part of the winning alliance and earning a spot at the Michigan State Championship.
Congratulations to team 7086, Team FLAG - Fight Like A Girl - for winning the second place INSPIRE Award, and the FIRST Place CONNECT Award, and earning a spot to the championship.
Congratulations to team 8679, the Classical Engineers, for winning third place INSPIRE Award, and first place Rockwell Collins INNOVATE Award, and earning a spot to the championship.
29 teams competed from across the state for 6 spots to the state championship. 3 of those 6 spots were earned by Bedford Junior High Teams! Go Broncos! Each team will be competing in a second event in the next few weeks and we are hopefull that our remaining two teams, 5237, the Loose Screws - who made it to play-offs, and the Turning Gears, Team 7215 will earn a spot at their next event! Great job to all!
LACROSSE
There will be a informational meeting and registration for Lacrosse Wednesday, November 8, 2017 from 6:30-8:30 in the Junior High Cafeteria. All lacrosse players and parents of high school boys and girls, and junior high boys are invited and encouraged to attend this important meeting. The Bedford Lacrosse Association,Inc. will share relevant information about the association, the upcoming season, and opportunities for parent involvement. The coaches will meet with their respective groups and inform their players of upcoming activities, requirements, and expectations for the upcoming season. Pizza will be provided. New players are encouraged to attend!!!!
DRESS CODE
Students, while the temps stay warm, be sure to dress for the weather and for our dress code here at the school. While we certainly need to stay cool, we also need to keep our shorts and shirts within the ranges set forth in the dress code.
BACKPACKS
Just another reminder. . . Don't carry your backpacks to class. You must keep your backpacks in your locker.
EARLY DROP OFFS
If you are dropped off at school before 7 a.m, you need to stay in the cafeteria with Mrs. Gibson. She will release you to your lockers at 7. 8th HOUR
8th Hour is held in the media center. It runs from 2:35 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Meet in the front lobby by the door monitor and you will be walked to the media center Forms can be picked up in the office.
NO CELL PHONES DURING SCHOOL HOURS
Students: Cell phones are not allowed during school hours. Your phone should be in your locker and turned off at 7:25 a.m. They cannot be used until 2:30 p.m. Cell phones are NOT permitted during lunches.
HEALTH ROOM RULES
Students who need to go to the health room must get a pass from the teacher they are coming from AND they should also check in with their next hour teacher to let them know where they are.
