STUDENT OF THE WEEK
This week's student of the week is Seattle L. who is nominated by Mr. Stalker. Seattle is an excellent student who comes to class everyday ready to learn. She participates in class discussions, thinks deeply about the course content, and strives to understand the purpose of her studies. Seattle's grade in 7th grade history is impressive, but so is her willingness to contribute to the learning of her classmates. She is a pleasure to have in class.

GIRLS BASKETBALL
Bedford 7th grade white beat Tecumseh Black 22-6.  Kerstin Nadolny and Emilia Malicki led in scoring.  Sydney Shammo and Luci Nicholas played well.

Bedford white 8th grade played well in taking down the Indians of Tecumseh Black 32-11.  Sophia Gray and Savanna Killinen led in scoring.  Jade Sulier and Grace Hullibarger also played well.

SCI-FI CLUB
Do you know what a Tardis is? Do you know your Midiclorian count? How good are you at playing Quidditch? Have you ever come face to face with Cerberus. Do you wonder what would happen if you were bitten by a radioactive goundhog? Do you wonder why they just didn't get the eagles to fly them to Modor in the first place? If you know what I was just talking about and want to talk more about this stuff, come to the Sci-Fi Fantasy Club on Thursday February 2, 2017 from 2:30-3:30. We will be meeting in room 23. Make sure you have a ride home.

MICROWAVES IN LUNCHROOM
Due to the misuse of the microwaves in the lunchroom both are inoperable.
We will no longer have microwaves for students to use.

BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION
Box Top collections !! This year we will be collecting box tops and having a friendly competition between home rooms. This is an easy way to fund raise for the extra things our classrooms my need throughout the year. Just ask your students and parents to clip and save. Deposit them in the collection boxes with your homeroom name on them (or place in Mrs. Nimigean's mailbox in the high school or Mr. Muck's mailbox in the junior high).
We will collect for 3 months for each giveaway.

Winners will be awarded the first of December, March and June (top collector in each building). Make sure you get them turned in for a homeroom treat!

HANDBOOK REMINDER
Students who are leaving school early for an appointment should remember to come to the office first thing in the morning before school starts to receive an exit pass. They should not give their notes to their teachers. Do not wait until lunch to receive your exit pass.

DROP OFF ITEMS
Students, if your parents drop off items for you during the day, they will be held at the front door with our door monitor. Please listen to announcements during the class changes for your name.  At that time, you may pick up your items from the door monitor.

SAFETY REMINDER
When getting off of the bus in the morning, be sure to stay on the sidewalk to get to the junior high. Do not walk on the cement island.

CHROMEBOOKS
Students please remember to limit what you take to each class. Chromebooks can not be stacked on several books. Carrying several books increases the chance for your chromebook to slip and break.
CHROMEBOOKS ARE BEING BROKE AT AN AVERAGE 10 PER DAY AND THE EXCUSES THAT ARE BEING GIVEN ARE MOSTLY DUE TO IRRESPONSIBILITY. WE ARE RUNNING VERY LOW ON LOANERS AND IT IS TAKING 4 WEEKS FOR A REPLACEMENT. SOON THERE WILL NOT BE ANY LOANERS TO GIVE OUT, WHICH MEANS THEY WILL NOT HAVE A CHROMEBOOK TO DO THEIR HOMEWORK WITH. PLEASE HELP US KEEP AN EYE ON HOW YOUR CHILD IS TAKING CARE OF THEIR CHROME BOOK.

HEALTH ROOM VISITS
You must report to your next hour teacher before coming to the health room unless it is an emergency. That way your teacher knows where you are.
