8th GRADE RECOGNITION

Congratulations to our 8th grade students as they celebrate 8th Grade Recognition today at 8:30 a.m.

8th GRADE CEDAR POINT TRIP

Out 8th grade students attending Cedar Point will return today at 10:30 p.m.

BEDFORD SIDELINE CHEER TRYOUTS

High School tryouts (8th graders): June 3-5 from 5-7 pm, high school new gym

For tryouts athletes must wear Bedford colors, cheer or tennis shoes, and no jewelry throughout all of tryouts! All participants must have a current physical on file. PhysicalMUST be from on or after April 15th.  NO EXCEPTIONS. Go to the office for more details and paperwork.

EQUESTRIAN CLUB

The Equestrian club informational meeting will be held on June 6th in the high school media center from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.

BOYS TENNIS

Any 8th grade boy interested in playing Tennis in the fall, there will be a meeting after school on Tuesday 6/4 at the high school tennis courts until 4:30. Be prepared to play that day. 

2019/2020 FOOTBALL

Next Tuesday, June 4th, Mr. Vickers the football coach will be here to meet our players.

At 10:30, all 8th graders intending to play freshman football will meet in the media center.

At 11:00, all 7th graders who have 4th hour homeroom should meet in the media center.

At 11:30, all 6th graders and 5th hour homeroom 7th graders should meet in the gym.

PARTY
Student Council's Outdoor (end of the year) Party. Friday June 7th from 5-7pm. Music, slip n' slide, obstacle course, and concessions. Don't miss out on the fun!

Summer Test Out Applications for High School Classes for 2019-2020 Freshmen 

Summer test out applications are due to the high school's main office on Friday, May 24 by 2:30 pm. Forms can be found on the Counseling page of the high school website (You can use the Counseling tab in the navigation bar at the top of their home page.) No late registration forms will be taken this year. Please have your form and money in on time. If you have any questions please see Mrs. Schultz in high school room B2.

While you can select a preferred week of testing, you must be available to make an appointment to test out on any day of that week. 

Testing Weeks:

Week 1: July 22 - July 26

Week 2: July 29 - August 2

Any available study materials can be picked up in the high school office June 17 - June 28.

COMMUNITY ED.

Glow Bowling - Boys get your moms and join us for a fun night of glow bowling and pizza at Forest View Lanes on June 7. Tickets are on sale in the Community Education Office

Register now for summer camps, T-Ball and Softball and art classes  - check out the Spring/Summer Brochure or go online and get the scoop - https://www.bedford.k12.mi.us/com_ed. There really is something for everyone, any age and any skill level.

VOLLEYBALL SUMMER CAMP

Volleyball summer camp flyers are in the office. Camp is Monday through Thursday, June 17-20th from 12-2:30 at the high school for incoming 7th, 8th, and 9th graders. Please register early so you are left out. 

CHROMEBOOKS

Please remind students to be careful with their Chromebooks, and keep a watchful eye out for kids abusing them.

REMINDER 

Just a reminder to students - cell phones are not to be used during the day to text or call their parent to come pick them up when they are not feeling well.  (Please do not email either). Students are to come to the health room.  You can use the student phone located in the office.  Too many parents are showing up for their sick student and the health room/office is not aware.  Please see your Student Handbook regarding use of Cell Phones.

DRESS CODE 

Just a reminder to parents and students about the school dress code. Jeans with rips or holes in them is not allowed. Also, hoods of any kind are not to be worn inside the building.

STUDENT DROP OFF

Parents, there is ABSOLUTELY no student drop off in the front of the building. Please drop off your student in the back of the building.

Card Club for 6th graders only meets on Tuesdays, Room #206, 2:30-3:30

Knit and Crochet Club meets on Tuesdays, Room #29, 2:30-3:30

BOYS CROSS COUNTRY
There will be a high school cross country informational meeting on Thursday, 5/30, at 7pm in Room G4 at the high school (my room). Our high school program has made it to the state finals for five consecutive years, and we are inviting you to come and be a part of this successful program.We will talk about cross country camp, collect contact information, and start our unofficial season off for 2019. Mule Pack! Whether you ran cross country this year or you just want to come and try it out, you are welcome.

Attention all writers: Mrs. Matlow and Miss DePorre will be hosting Young Writers Day on May 30th. Please see Mrs. Matlow in room #35 to pick up a participation form. See you there!
