STUDENT OF THE WEEK
Miss Kelly chose Kerstin N as our Student of the week.  Kerstin is a great example of an outstanding student who works hard to excel in class! She is helpful and kind to others in class and shows interest and excitement for learning and for science! Hey students, SciFI club is starting back up again. If you want to debate DC vs Marvel, Stranger Things, or something you never heard of, then come join the fun.  We will be meeting this Friday until 3:30 in room 131.  Please make sure you have a ride home.

MATH LEAGUE TEST
Attention serious math students. This year's competitive Math League Test is coming up soon. The Math League Test is a timed test, in which students' scores are compared against their peers in our school, as well as those in surrounding counties. If you are interested in taking the test, please let your math teacher know. If you have any questions you may talk with your math teacher, or Mrs. Brown in room 23.

All Mules Matter students are selling Autism Awareness shirts in the cafeteria for $8 during all lunches. Money due by 2/14. Shirts will arrive mid March.

BUS NOTES
Bus notes need to be brought  to the office in the morning to be stamped before school starts.  Absolutely no notes will be stamped after the afternoon announcements.  If the note is not stamped you will have to ride your normal bus home.

EXIT PASSES
Exit passes can be given if a written note from home is turned into the office.  All notes are to be brought to the office before school starts so your exit pass can be written.  Then you are to report to the door monitor at the time indicated on your pass. Once your ride arrives you can exit the build to go to your appointment.  You CAN NOT exit the building without a pass.  Make sure to turn your note into the main office before the morning bell so they can issue you a exit pass.

BACKPACKS
Just another reminder. . . Don't carry your backpacks to class. You must keep your backpacks in your locker.

If you are dropped off at school before 7 a.m, you need to stay in the cafeteria with Mrs. Gibson. She will release you to your lockers at 7.

8th Hour is held in the media center.  It runs from 2:35 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Meet in the front lobby by the door monitor and you will be walked to the media center   Forms can be picked up in the office.

Students: Cell phones are not allowed during school hours. Your phone should be in your locker and turned off at 7:25 a.m. They cannot be used until 2:30 p.m. Cell phones are NOT permitted during lunches.

Students who need to go to the health room must get a pass from the teacher they are coming from AND they should also check in with their next hour teacher to let them know where they are.

GIRLS BASKETBALL
Bedford 7th grade red defeated Monroe Red 30-9.  Payton P had an outstanding game defensively and contributed 8 points.  Patrina M led in scoring with 13 points.  

Bedford red 8th grade defeated Monroe Red 25-8.  Brianna C was the leading scorer with 10 points.  Laci MQ was a leader in rebounding.  

Bedford 7th grade white defeated Monroe White 26-2.  Nine lady broncos contributed offensively led by Ava G with 12 points and Paige B with 10.  

Bedford white 8th grade defeated Monroe White 25-13.  Sophia G led in scoring along with Sydney S and Kinzie K.  Raylynn N also played well.

SWIM AND DIVE
Congratulations to the State Qualifiers who dove and swam this weekend in Lansing.  Walking our halls, we have two MISCA STATE Champs, Micah S won the 50 free and finished 2nd in the 50 fly, and Ethan T won the 100 Breaststroke and finished.4th in the 100 IM.
Two of the boys relays finished 4th as well.

For the Girls, Kaylee S finished 6th in the 100 IM and 100 Breaststroke. Lindy S finished 8th in both of her events, 100 Free and 100 backstroke.  Ava B finished 7th in the IM and 15th in the Breaststroke.  Two of the girls relays made the podium in 5th and 6th places.  
Everyone performed great and Represented Bedford Junior High extremely well!

GIRLS BASKETBALL
Bedford 7th grade red was defeated by Saline Blue 15-5.  Elyse Czarnik led in scoring with 6 points.  

Bedford red 8th grade lost its first game of the season to Saline Blue 17-14.  Emilia Malicki played well off the bench.  Brooke Wiemer had a good night rebounding the basketball.  

Bedford 7th grade white lost to Saline Gold 31-8.  Paige Bailey led in scoring.  Karissa Halter also played well.  

Bedford 8th grade white stung the hornets of Saline Gold 23-12.  8 different players scored in the win led by Sophia Gray and Kinzie Kohler.  Monica DeGasto and Raylynn Nocella also played well.

The BJHS Pride Club is moving to a new day! We will now meet on Wednesdays - starting this Wednesday, January 24. Join us in Mr. Zill’s room after school until 3:30. He is a big contribution in class by using his leadership qualities to help others and often offers up ideas and raises his hand to share answers. He puts great effort into everything he does and is a big asset to the class.

PRIDE CLUB SWITCHING DAYS
The BJHS Pride Club is moving to a new day! We will now meet on Wednesdays - starting this Wednesday, January 24. Join us in Mr. Zill’s room after school until 3:30. As always, we are a fun and accepting group, and a safe place for you to be yourself. All are welcome, and we hope to see you there!


MATH LEAGUE TEST
Attention serious math students. This year's competitive Math League Test is coming up soon. The Math League Test is a timed test, in which students' scores are compared against their peers in our school, as well as those in surrounding counties. If you are interested in taking the test, please let your math teacher know. If you have any questions you may talk with your math teacher, or Mrs. Brown in room 23.

SWIM AND DIVE
Congratulations to the Swim and Dive team on a very successful season!  Last night, the team won its last duel meet over Lincoln. 
Ryan L finished her season with two personal bests. Gracie A, Kennedy K, and Murphy B, and Ethan T had personal bests! 

Next Up ... State meet on Saturday!

GIRLS BASKETBALL
Bedford 7th grade red did not have a scheduled game.

Bedford red 8th grade defeated Lincoln Blue 25-9.  Grace R scored 16 points.  Brianna C led the way in rebounding and Julia M shot the ball well hitting two 3 pointers.  

Bedford 7th grade white lost their season opener at Lincoln Gray 23-15.  Ava G and Paige B led the team in scoring.  

Bedford white 8th grade took down the Railsplitters of Lincoln Gray 31-12.  Sophia G led the team in scoring.  Monica D led the team in rebounding.  Sydney S and Kinzie K also played well.

ALL MULES MATTER 
All mules matter meets every Monday during your homeroom time in the media center with Mrs. Mihalec.

BUS NOTES
Bus notes need to be brought  to the office in the morning to be stamped before school starts.  Absolutely no notes will be stamped after the afternoon announcements.  If the note is not stamped you will have to ride your normal bus home.

EXIT PASSES
Exit passes can be given if a written note from home is turned into the office.  All notes are to be brought to the office before school starts so your exit pass can be written.  Then you are to report to the door monitor at the time indicated on your pass. Once your ride arrives you can exit the build to go to your appointment.  You CAN NOT exit the building without a pass.  Make sure to turn your note into the main office before the morning bell so they can issue you a exit pass.

BACKPACKS
Just another reminder. . . Don't carry your backpacks to class. You must keep your backpacks in your locker. 

EARLY DROP OFFS
If you are dropped off at school before 7 a.m, you need to stay in the cafeteria with Mrs. Gibson. She will release you to your lockers at 7.  

8th HOUR
8th Hour is held in the media center.  It runs from 2:35 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Meet in the front lobby by the door monitor and you will be walked to the media center   Forms can be picked up in the office.

NO CELL PHONES DURING SCHOOL HOURS
Students: Cell phones are not allowed during school hours. Your phone should be in your locker and turned off at 7:25 a.m. They cannot be used until 2:30 p.m. Cell phones are NOT permitted during lunches. 

HEALTH ROOM RULES
Students who need to go to the health room must get a pass from the teacher they are coming from AND they should also check in with their next hour teacher to let them know where they are.
