Red Ribbon Week
This is Red Ribbon Week! The purpose of the Red Ribbon Campaign is to present a visible commitment to a safe, healthy and drug-free lifestyle. The campaign is designed to accomplish the following:
  • to create awareness concerning the problems related to the use of tobacco, alcohol and other drugs
  • to support the decision to live a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.
The NJHS members have created a week of fun themes for students to participate in showing their commitment to being drug free.  The themes are as follows:

Friday, October 24: "Chase Your Dreams, Not Drugs" (Students and teachers will have the opportunity to wear pajamas to school.)

Monday, October 27: "Don't Let Drugs Win" (Students and teachers are encouraged to wear any type of apparel related to sports.)

Tuesday, October 28: "Team Up Against Drugs" (Each grade will be assigned a color to wear this day. The teachers will also be given a designated color.)

Wednesday, October 29: "I'm Crazy, But NOT For Drugs" (Students and teachers are encouraged to look as crazy as possible. This could mean crazy hair, backwards clothing, mismatch clothing, et cetera...)

Thursday, October 30: "Scare Off Drugs" (Students and teachers are allowed to wear costumes. Please keep in mind the dress code and school rules when choosing your outfit. No weapons, halter tops, shorts above fingertips, et cetera.)

Anti- Bullying Poster Contest
Almost everyone has seen someone being picked on by a bully. It's not nice.
Bullies can make school an unpleasant place for their victims.

What are some things YOU can do to make your school a place where no one gets bullied?

Create a poster that shows what YOU can do to stop bullying at BJHS. Your poster must be turned in to Mrs. Currie in Room 220 by Monday October 27,2014.

Rules and further information can be found outside the art room, office or room 220.

It is important to remember that each student with a Chromebook signed an agreement at the beginning of the school year that states...
I will be responsible for my Chromebook at all times.
My Chromebook will never be left unattended
I will store my Chromebook in my secured locker at BJHS while at sports practices or after school activities
